About
Avery Klooster |
Avery Klooster is a young Canadian artist known for her sculptures and paintings visiting themes of mental health and healing, as well as death and rebirth in nature. Avery occasionally puts twists on these themes, leaving her viewers on the edge of their seats. She spends her days enjoying nature and her evenings working at her in-home studio located in Elmira, Ontario.
Avery's art has been exhibited in the Kitchener Art Gallery twice along with a permanent installation located in Elmira District Secondary School’s Hall of Time. Avery has worked alongside well-known local Sculptor, Timothy Schmalz on sculptures such as Angels Unawares, Let the Oppressed go Free, The Banana, Father's Instruction, St. John XXIII, Ark of Life, Atlanta Jesus and The Canadian Women Workers Monument, with many more unreleased sculptures to add. |
I decided to create a page for those interested in art of all sorts. My style ranges from odd and trippy to hyperrealism, so that being said I've always struggled to fit into one category in the art community. Freedom in art is incredibly important in my opinion, so why put leashes on things that don't need to be tamed?
